From Nazi doctors to people that simply don’t like the church, here is my list of 5 gruesome and disturbing murders. Enjoy.
Raul Barrera, 2011 – This unemployed publicist, age 35, beat his gorgeous blonde girlfriend to death when she tried to break up with him. Raul beat Sarah Coit, age 23, to the floor and then stabbed her over 30 times, disemboweled her, slashed her throat and left her still breathing with a knife in her skull. During his horrific rampage he used a total of 5 different knives before he cleaned up and left the scene. Horrified at what he had done, instead of calling 911 or other help for Sarah, Raul instead called his family and whined until his father talked Raul into giving up. Given a sentence of 25 years to life, the prosecutor publicly stated the murderous creep should never be released.
Josef Mengele, 1943-1945 – This poor excuse for a physician was a Nazi death camp “doctor” during World War II that performed horrible “experiments” on helpless prisoner. Engaging in vivisection (cutting up people with no anesthesia while they are alive), injecting various drugs and chemicals
in people to see what happened, testing how long it took prisoners to freeze to death under various circumstances, amputating limbs and various body parts to see how well the victim would do without them were some of his activities. Bizarre stunts like amputating limbs and reattaching them on the opposite side of the body and sewing normal twins together to try to make Siamese (conjoined_ twins of them were also among his tricks. He would inject various chemicals into the eyes of prisoners to see if he could change their eye color and intentionally injected healthy people with diseases, various chemicals, drugs and pathogens to observe the results. This murderer escaped to South America after the war and eluded capture, finally dying from drowning while swimming and having a stroke in 1979.
Stephen Farrow 2011 – Frail Betty Yates was killed at her home in Bewdley, Worcs. Six weeks later the Rev John Suddards was murdered at his vicarage in Thornbury, South Glos.God-hating loner Farrow, 49, had a loathing for the church as he claimed a priest had abused him as a child.
Before the double murder, he had been to Canterbury with the intention of killing Archbishop Rowan Williams but was put off by security. Two days before killing widow Betty, 77, pictured right, he sent a text to a friend saying: “The church will be the first to to suffer.” Drifter Farrow battered the retired teacher with her walking stick before stabbing her four times at her riverside cottage. She was struck so hard on the head with the stick that the wood splintered. Six weeks later he knifed Mr Suddards, 59, to death in his vicarage before covering his body in porn DVDs, party poppers and condoms. He laid the body on the hall floor of the vicarage in front of a mirror reflecting a canvas picture of Jesus and opened a Bible at the Letter of Jude and placed it on his victim’s chest. He then spent the night at the vicarage, watching an Indiana Jones DVD and drinking beer. Farrow had planned to crucify the vicar, pictured left below, but left behind a bag with his hammer and nails. It emerged that before he killed Mr Suddards, Farrow had raided a house close to the vicarage. He left a note in a shaking hand which read: “Be thankful you did not come back or we would have killed you Christian scum. I f***ing hate God.”
Joel David Rifkin 1989 – 1990 – Another serial killer who preyed solely on women, Rifkin is responsible for the murder and, in some cases, dismemberment of seventeen women he claimed were prostitutes. He was the most prolific serial killer in New York’s entire 20th century history. Rifkin came from a fairly normal background and was of above average intelligence. Articles on his life indicate that he was teased heavily in school where he performed poorly and also began having fantasies of killing women. Later, out of school, he was unable to hold down a job. At some point he began soliciting prostitutes while, at the same time, he developed a fascination with serial killers who murdered prostitutes even going so far as to collect newspaper clippings on the topic. In 1989 an 1990, Rifkin finally began making news of his own by murdering two women whose bodies he then dismembered and threw into the Manhattan canals. Their remains were never discovered. In 1991, Rifkin stepped up his activities and over the next two years he killed fifteen women and usually disposed of their bodies in a container of some kind which he then threw into a body of water. Rifkin was finally caught during a routine traffic stop where officers attempted to pull him over for not displaying and tags. Rifkin didn’t stop and it wasn’t until he missed a turn and wrecked that officers discovered that he was towing the body of his latest victim no doubt taking it to be dumped somewhere. Rifkin was imprisoned and is available for parole in 2197 at which time he will be dead.
Richard Kuklinksi 1949 – 1986 – By all accounts the most accomplished murderer on this list, Richard Kuklinksi was an Italian mob contract killer known as the ‘Iceman’ because he engaged in a practice of freezing the bodies of his victims in an industrial cooler in order to hide the time of their murder. There are other supposed origins to this nickname and Kuklinski seemed to revel in changing the story as well as telling others including that he he was part of the group who murdered union boss Jimmy Hoffa which he later recanted. Kuklinkski was very thorough and intelligent. In one instance he killed a man seemingly accidentally but still took the precaution of cutting off all the man’s fingers and removing all of his teeth by hand so that even if he disposed of the body and it was later found the man would never be able to be identified.
All told, Kuklinksi killed between six and 100 people between 1949 and 1986. And although Kuklinski appears to have been the kind of man who would exaggerate, tales of Kuklinski’s willingness to murder for as little as making him “feel bad about something” seem nearly ubiquitous. Murdering his first victim at age 13, Kuklinksi has been described by New York authorities as one of the most dangerous criminals in the state’s entire history.
Kuklinski died in prison in 2006.
And that’s it! I hope you have enjoyed this gruesome list. Stay Safe, HV
